Lisa & Robin

July 25th, 2010

Lisa & Robin were married on Saturday 3rd July 2010 at The Royal Musselburgh Golf Club. A fantastic day, everything went extremely well, the weather even held out for us to take some wonderful photographs of all the groups and then some photographs of the couple on their own. A great venue, thank you to the staff for their help.

Sharon & Raymond

July 25th, 2010

Sharon Taylor & Raymond McIntosh were married at The Holliday Inn on Queensferry Road, Edinburgh. A bright sunny day but slightly windy. Sharon looked beautiful in her wedding dress and Raymond looked the part in his kilt. A lot of guests had traveled from up north for the wedding. The day went well, apart from the wind which was blowing hair everywhere!
Some of my photographs were published in Raymond’s home town.
Thank you for booking Wedding Photos Edinburgh.

Scotland Rugby Star Guest Married!

July 25th, 2010

Nicholas John De Luca and Alissa Ruane, were married at St Ninians Church on Marionville Road at 3pm on Saturday 24th June
2010. Once again, the weather was very kind, bright snd sunny for everyone’s arrival. Nic arrived early to wait for his bride to be, unfortunately he had to wait some time as the car that Alissa was arriving in kept breaking down!!!! Alissa arrived at about 3.35 for the ceremony which was great, the Priest was funny, sincere and meant a great deal to the couple. After the ceremony it was out to  Harburn House in West Calder. The journey took about an hour so it was fairly rushed for the photographs. A few of Nic’s Scottish Rugby team mates were their and they looked as though they were going to have a great evening!
Harburn house was a lovely setting for the evening function, a thank you to the staff who were on duty.

Nic & Alissa, I thank you very much for your very kind words in the card you sent me.

Angela & Alan

July 25th, 2010

Angela & Alan were married at Edinburgh City Chambers on Saturday 12th June 2010. Once again we were very lucky with the weather, a glorious day. As guests arrived I took group and couple photographs for the couple to remember their guests. Alan, his best man and ushers all looked very smart in their kilts. As Angela arrived in her Bentley, she looked stunning! The ceremony was lovely and then it was outside for drinks and canapes while we did the photographs. It was a fairly busy Saturday and all the Edinburgh tourists saw the couple have their photographs on the Royal Mile and in the City Chambers Courtyard.
A big thank you to all the staff at The City Chambers who were extremely halpful.
Angela and Alan, thank you for your booking.

After a few photographs at the church, the wedding party and guests moved across to The Retreat Castle Hotel for the Wedding Breakfast. The evening reception was held at St Matthews Church Hall in Rosewell. The day was perfect, some excellent photographs and I hope a perfect day for the couple.

The Weather was fantastic, very bright and sunny day. Nicola looked stunning in her wedding dress and Alan looked very smart in his kilt (although very warm)! It was a great day, enjoyed by all the guests, drinks outside on the lawn while the photographs were being taken. The Wedding Breakfast was served and the speeches were very funny, although slightly nervous!

Nicola & Alan, thank you for booking Wedding Photos Edinburgh.

Never been so busy!

June 4th, 2010

Sorry folks, I have been so busy I haven’t had time to keep the blog updated.
There have been so many weddings, plus I took Sandra my wife away for a well deserved break, just before the full wedding season starts.
I’ll try and update the blog more often!
Best wishes,
Alan

True Love

True Love

Melanie & Simon were married at Dalhousie Castle near Edinburgh, Scotland on Tuesday 22nd December 2009. It was a perfect day, the bride was stunning and the groom looked every part the Scotsman in his traditional kilt! The weather was great, snow all around the castle grounds which was perfect for Melanie’s red dress. It was a long journey for all the guests who had travelled mainly from the Wigan area, but all arrived safely to enjoy Melanie & Simon’s special day.
The staff at Dalhousie Castle looked after the wedding party extremely well, they catered for their every need.
The photographs in the Castle grounds exceeded our expectations as we thought due to the snow it would be a quick few shots and back into the warmth, but the Bride & Groom were up for staying out and getting loads of shots done – good for them!
A big thank you to Melanie & Simon for booking with us, we enjoyed the day very much. Thank you for inviting us to be part of your very special day here in Scotland.

Fiona & Scott

October 16th, 2009

A very warm and windy day for Fiona & Scott’s wedding day. They were married at Chalmers Memorial Church in Port Seton, we then had a photo call outside the church and then moved into Edinburgh and Arthur’s seat for more photography.
The wedding breakfast and reception were in the George Hotel and I have to say the arrangements were first class.
Thank you to Fiona & Scott for booking us and to the George Hotel Staff for looking after us so well!

Emma & James

October 16th, 2009

Emma & James were married on the 6th September 2009 and had a great day at Dalhousie Castle.
Not only was the ceremony enjoyable and romantic, we then went out to see the birds of prey and owls!
Dalhousie staff did Emma and james proud with an excellent service – well done to them, I’m sure it made Emma and James’s day.
Thank you both for booking with Wedding Photos Edinburgh.
